here i am giving  a small list of hiccups home remedies tips you can just try and goodbye to Hiccups.. .

Step 1: Exhale Completely

Right after a hiccup, smoothly exhale all the air out of your lungs.

Step 2: Take A Deep Breath

Breathe in all the air your lungs will hold. You can inhale through your mouth or nose, whichever you prefer.

Step 3: Hold Your Breath

Hold that deep breath as long as you possibly can. It helps if you swallow a few times during this step.

Step 4: Exhale and Breathe Normally

Hopefully you are now hiccup free again. If not, move on to step #5.

Step 5: Repeat As Needed

Sometimes it works the first try but I’ve found that it normally takes 2 repetitions to get rid of my hiccups. Occasionally more.

If you hiccup during step 3, you’ll probably have to repeat.

  • If the hiccups are properly controlled there is no discomfort except for the mild distraction of the occasional uncontrollable gasp.

Short term hiccups typically are triggered by overeating, eating too quickly, consuming carbonated or alcoholic drinks, and sudden changes in temperature or stress. Hiccups lasting for more than two days could have a variety of causes. Nerve damage or irritation to the vagus or phrenic nerves of this nature may be caused by a sore throat or laryngitis, or something as mundane as a hair in your ear touching the eardrum, or by a tumor or goiter in the neck. Central nervous system disorders as from a stroke, multiples sclerosis or tumors and a traumatic brain injury could also trigger such episodes. Certain metabolic disorders and the use of certain drugs may also cause hiccups of this nature.

 

What Causes Hiccups in Newborns?

As mentioned already, hiccups are caused by sudden involuntary contractions or spasms of the diaphragm, which can allow air to enter the lungs quickly. Air entering into the lungs due to spasms of the diaphragm closes the epiglottis, which is the flap of cartilage that covers the windpipe when we swallow food. This in turn, produces the characteristic sound when we hiccup.

In newborns, air swallowed while feeding can be the main factor that can trigger hiccups. Babies can swallow a lot of air when they feed too fast, which is why they can get hiccups at some point during feeding. Overfeeding could also be a possible explanation of hiccups in newborns. Another possible cause of newborn hiccups can be a sudden drop in body temperature. Apart from these, infant acid reflux disease too can cause hiccups in babies in rare cases.

Newborn Hiccups Remedy

As fast feeding is one of the most important factors that can cause hiccups in babies, parents should make it sure that their babies drink or feed slowly in order to prevent hiccups. Apart from this, there are many other simple ways to get rid of hiccups. So, if you are wondering how to get rid of hiccups in newborns, then try the following simple tips:
